Winning at Daytona feels like winning the lottery for some NASCAR drivers, especially when they win the Daytona 500 and the $1 million that comes with the historic feat. This past weekend the NASCAR Cup Series was at Daytona for the Coke Zero Sugar 400, the final race of the 2022 regular season. A mixture of desperate drivers trying to make a final push for a playoff spot plus Mother Nature led to a truly chaotic race where only a total of 17 out of the 39 drivers entered would finish the race. Among those 17 drivers stood Landon Cassill, BJ McLeod, Cody Ware and his Rick Ware Racing teammate David Ragan who were notables with top 10 finishes.
Sports betting has grown heavily over the past decade and recently betting on NASCAR races has increased among fans of the auto racing sport. Over the NASCAR weekend at Daytona we saw thousands of people bet on the race, two particulier people won big: Jason Fellenbaum bet $10 that Ware, Cassill and McLeod would finish in the top ten, he won $70,560.00 with the +705500 3 Leg Parlay. Another person won big betting the same thing with the only difference being a $13.49 bet and adding Ragan in the bet for a top 10 finish, the +7408700 bet would come out to a massive win of $999,433.63 as both people became rich and basically set for life in just one day.
