There have been unconfirmed reports that the Greenville Pickens Speedway will be closing this racing offseason. The track has been open since 1940 and hosted NASCAR from 1955-1971, since then it has been home to grassroot racing. According to Landon Huffman, the second-oldest weekly short track in America will most likely be turned into a strip mall.
