Anyone who follows local racing on the East Coast knows who Matt Hirschman is, he is a household name in the racing community. There is a true division though, people either love him or hate him, nevertheless both sides can agree on one thing: He is one of the greatest modified drivers in history.
One of the things that makes Hirschman great is his consistency and ability to handle pressure. He is known for only coming out during high stakes races, with that and winning (a lot) he has gained the nickname ‘Big Money Matt’.
Matt Hirschman has been unstoppable since 2020 and his third place finish at New Smyrna, marked his 10th podium finish in his last 13 starts. The finish also stands as his 11th consecutive top-five finish in the Whelen Modified Tour, also being his 14th top-five in his last 15 starts.
Basically Hirschman is as great as great gets and it seems like there will be no slowing down anytime soon for the seasoned vet.
