Zane Smith Wins (Twice) At Daytona

In the closing laps coming to the white flag for the NextEra Energy 250 fans would see the big one occur in the tri-oval of the Daytona Super Speedway. The yellow lights came on with true chaos com across the start/finish line with the white flag waving. Leading at the moment of caution was the Love’s Travel Shops No.38 of Zane Smith, avoiding carnage that involved over ten trucks. Smith was originally called as the race winner until NASCAR said that the yellow came out before the white, that statement was then proven with the power of slow motion and instant replay, yellow lights flashed about 1.5 seconds before leaders hit the line.

After a brief red flag the field went back to green for a green-white-checkered finish, Smith would start on the front row. Going on the back straightaway it would be Parker Kligerman of the No.75 Food Country truck giving Smith the push, Kligerman was one of the slowest trucks in the field who had to race his way in, but at this point he was one if the fastest drivers out there. Going to the white flag Smith would be in p1, just seconds after a yellow would come out for a multi-car crash involving Kris Wright and Jason White to make the race come to an early ending. The early end would make Zane Smith the winner due to him leading at the moment of caution, Zane Smith is a Daytona winner.
