Melissa Fifield Geared Up For 100th Whelen Modified Tour Start

Melissa Fifield has been competing in the Whelen Modified Tour since the 2014 season. Entering her eighth season she made 99 total starts in the series, only missing races in 2015 and just one in 2019. In those 99 starts Melissa has built a name for herself as she has won the Most Popular Driver Award three times in her seven completed seasons. Now, already two races through the 2021 season she is looking for her third start of the season to come at the Riverhead Raceway, which would be her 100th start overall. In those 99 starts Melissa has an average finish of 25th with her best season coming in 2014 (23rd avg finish.)

Melissa started her racing career at age 11 as she raced go karts, she would later go on and be a track champion at Londonderry Raceway. Melissa's modified racing career would kick off when she joined the Valenti Modified Racing Tour, she would then start competing in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series Tour where she currently is now.

NYSS Race Day would like to congratulate Melissa on this career milestone!
