Lewis Hamilton has over 100 poles in his Formula One career, today he will not add to that list. For the first time since Brazil of 2017 Lewis Hamilton has been knocked out of Q1. Hamilton went 16th fastest in his sliver arrow Mercedes, only the top 15 drivers advance into Q2. All Mercedes powered cars have had issues since preseason testing mainly with speed and fuel issues. Hamilton did finish on a podium at the season opener, but that was only due to Red Bull Racing DNF’s in the final laps. Overall it looks like Hamilton and Mercedes is a mid to pack of the front runners (top 10) this season.
