Max Verstappen Wins Spa As George Russell Gets A Podium

What the heck just happened?!

Folks Max Verstappen is your Spa winner after only two laps, and those two laps were under the safety car. I have never seen anything like this. Formula One has just called a race after not even ten laps due to rain instead of just postponing the race or making a later start time.

With that said George Russell of Williams is now a podium driver, coming in p2. Now overall everyone who qualified in the top ten finished in basically the exact same spot so the fact is George Russell and Williams were just three tenths away from winning a Grand Prix. George Russell now has more points in a Williams than what he had in a Mercedes.

Other notables also include a top five for Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastain Vettel along with top ten finishes for Pierre Gasly and Nicholas Latifi. Due to the rain all points finishing drivers were only awarded half points, but at the same time this basically killed championship hopes for many drivers while at the same time making the Constructors battle ever more intense.
