Top Three Stafford Speedway Limited Late Model Drivers Coming Into 2022 Season

The Stafford Motor Speedway is entering into the 2022 racing season in late April. The season starts off with opening day on a Saturday, followed by the 50th running of the Spring Sizzler on the 24th. The track is coming off of an action packed and historic year for racing and it looks to get even more intense in ‘22. Coming into the racing season the track has several drivers moving up or switching teams along with new drivers entering for the first time, but for every weekly division there will always be stand out drivers. This week NYSS Race Day is featuring the Limited Late Model division at the track.


Listed below is a list of the top three drivers of the Limited Late Model division at the track along with an honorable mention, the list is based on sole stats.


Limited Late Model top three - Rich Hammann - Jeremy Lavoie - Alexandra Fearn - (HM - Matt Scappini)


1 - Rich Hammann had a career best season at the famed speedway as 2021 featured two wins. Hammann finished in the top five a total of 15-times, accompanied by 18 TOP10s.


2 - Jeremy Lavoie came up 23-points short from a championship win in 2021, over the past several seasons he has battled with Alexandra Fearn week in and week out. Lavoie is a multiple time champion at Stafford in the LLM division and had all two’s on the board in ‘21 with 2 WINS 20 TOP5s and 20 TOP10s. It is without a doubt that he will enter 2022 with extreme momentum.


3 - Alexandra Fearn is coming off a championship win at Stafford after a dominating six win season and a 898-point total. Fearn had a solid performance in 2021 when she was not in victory lane as she had 18 TOP5s and 19 TOP10s.


HM - Matt Scappini came in as a rookie and he would finish as a winner. One win and three top fives for the driver from Litchfield, Connecticut as 2021 will be a season to remember.
