Max Verstappen Wins 2021 Formula One Championship As Raikkonen Retires In Final Grand Prix

Max Verstappen has won the 2021 Formula One championship in a last lap pass against rival Lewis Hamilton in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Hamilton led almost every single lap in the race and it looked like he would be champion come the end of the race, both drivers entered tied with 369.5 points after being neck and neck throughout the entire season. With the last lap pass made by Verstappen it was also for the lead of the race as a whole, the night would end with a Max Verstappen race win and championship win. Verstappen comes out with 395.5 points over Hamilton’s 387.5 points. In the Grand Prix we also saw the final race of Kimi Raikkonen’s career, the Iceman sadly retired in what is his final grand prix he will compete in. Folks this was a truly crazy season as we saw surprise winners, much controversy and true battles up and down the grid, this was without a doubt a truly historic season.
