The NASCAR Cup Series race at the Daytona International Speedway was under a rain/lightning delay as Mother Nature was raining down on the 2.5 mile track. With less than 30 laps to go rain would come down on the track causing a 10+ car crash, eventually bringing out the red flag. The Coke Zero Sugar 400 marks the regular season finale of the 2022 season as it may get an early send-off if the rain continues, Austin Dillon would be marked as the winner. Under the delay a water tornado would form off the coast of the Daytona Beach, just 2.9 miles away from the track. The Waterspout was there for several minutes before it broke off, luckily no one was injured.
