This Sunday NASCAR history will be made at the Watkins Glen road course in upstate New York. A total of seven countries will be represented in the race, making it the most worldwide NASCAR Cup field in series history.
The countries of Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Finland, England and United States will be represented. Daniel Suarez will be driving under the Mexican flag, Loris Hezemans under the Netherland flag, Mike Rockenfeller under the German flag, Daniil Kvyat racing under the Russian flag with fellow ex-Formula One driver Kimi Raikkonen racing under the Finnish flag and Kyle Tilley racing for England with the rest of the 30+ car field racing under the American flag.
Mike Rockenfeller will make his NASCAR Cup debut, the German endurance series racer is taking his skills to NASCAR. Kimi Raikkonen last raced in NASCAR back in 2011, the former Formula One Champion came out of retirement to drive the No.91 for Trackhouse Racing, he has only raced in the Truck and Xfinity Series so the Ice Man will be making his NASCAR debut in the hot sun of the Empire State.
