Helio Castroneves Still On Search For NASCAR Cup Series Ride

Four-time Indy 500 champion Helio Castroneves is still on his continued search for a chance at competing in NASCAR, mainly the Daytona 500. ‘The Great American Race’ is just over 70 days away.

Castroneves is a 21-year veteran at the IndyCar level, overall his motorsports career dates back to the early 1980s.

The Brazilian said “Hopefully in the next two weeks we will hear something, but as of right now, I’ve called people that I hear are interested but nobody is getting back to me. So I guess I’ll wait for the right time for them to call!

Castroneves hasn’t ruled out the Trackhouse Racing Project 91 entry if given the opportunity. Trackhouse fields the No.91 car to give international drivers an opportunity at racing in NASCAR, Kimi Raikkonen drove the car at Watkins Glen in 2022 for the team.
