Ryan Preece currently sits 24th in the points standings with a total of 281 points coming into the Nashville Super Speedway. Overall this season has been pretty quiet for him as he is on track to have the best season of his career, despite that Preece has had his fair share of bad luck like any other driver. With an average finish of 21st through 16 races Preece has been consistent and can run in the top15 nicely during the race. Now I wanna stress that Nashville is a Super Speedway and even if it was not it is still a speedway which means that drafting comes into affect. JTG does not have the fastest car on the grid compared to the likes of Joe Gibbs Racing and Hendrick Motorsports, but Ryan Preece is a great drafter driver.
Also followed with that is the fact that he has Ricky Stenhouse Jr as a team mate who is great at super speedways and has won at them. Preece is always found very close to the front of the pack in super speedway races and I feel it will be the same for this race. The biggest thing is experience, many drivers have not raced at Nashville but for Ryan Preece he has and he has won. On Friday night Ryan Preece geared up in a Camping World Truck Series truck for the first time of his career. Starting p6 Preece went on to lead 8 laps and would end up winning the race. Shades of Ty Gibbs you can say as Ryan Preece wins it in his first ever start.
With that said Preece has shown that he can at the track, also with that he has a huge advantage on the rest of the field due to him getting that extra race time. Overall this will be long race as the Cup Series will travel 400 miles to the same exact spot they started, the start/finish line.
